A Conceptual Innovative Risk Management Model for Commercial Buildings Refurbishment Projects

In construction industry, refurbishment is an alternativewayto upgrade the lifespan of existing infrastructure. The approach has been widely used even though it seems riskier, complex, and more difficult than constructing new projects. Despite several risk-management tools are available, a high level uncertainties, risks requirements for commercial projects have not reduced becomes challenging. There relatively low implementation formal methods in practice fact, there limited studies focusing on this issue, particularly Malaysia context. This study aims to promote comprehensive tool managing projects, buildings developing country including Malaysia. A critical review regard management from different perspectives was develop conceptual framework. qualitative method face-to-face interviews study. Content analysis showed that proposed would be beneficial pave way developers as risk can influence their decision-making process.This paper will useful making decisions before undertaking model potentially providing motivating clients, consultants, other participants enhance service product quality project buildings.
